Hearty Brekkie In KK

I take it seriously when it comes to breakfast where all my inspirational vibes begin. By taking myself out to a café around Kota Kinabalu is how I appreciate the urban coffee culture that evolving in this city. 


I'm just too hungry to skip my breakfast at least l need a cup of Joe. Breakfast don't have to be boring and its always a twist to try new way but most importantly it provides enough nutrients that supply last longer energy to face my entire day. 


Oatmeal is one of amazing breakfast that I mostly have every morning. In fact, it so versatile to enjoy in many ways whether as a porridge, pancake, smoothie or granola. 


I do enjoy oatmeal with assorted fruits, some nuts and seeds. Besides that, I love having granola with Greek yogurt that is proven to regulate and improve my digestive system. 


Most comfort meal to include for breakfast nothing lighter and simpler than egg. In fact, it pack with beneficial nutrients such as protein and good fat to sustain energy just enough before lunch. 


Egg is so versatile to be enjoy either as sunny side up, scrambled, omelet, soft boiled or poached. Its the most complete sources of protein and all the essential amino acids which helps to sustain my energy level.


Another fresh and nutritious elements I have obsessed with are fruits and vegetables. There are easy to consume and delicious, yet rich with vitamins and minerals that's important for body. 


I love variety of fruits such as banana, watermelon, berries, apple and orange whether make them as a smoothie or simply served over pancakes even yogurt goes perfect too.


On the weekend brunch, a little heavier option of wholemeal toast. In fact, it has more nutritious value and a good source of high fiber than regular white bread. 


I love to enjoy the toast with smashed avocado and cream cheese to spread over the top instead of butter. Otherwise, roasted pumpkin spread work really nice too as an alternative of avocado spread. 


'Lamb Stew' will be perfect on Sunday brunch with some toast at the side to dipping on this tomato based gravy which come with poached egg as well in the middle of the serving pan.
