Genting Highlands, Pahang

Another mother nature trip brought me to Genting Highlands this time. It is a hill resort located in Bentong, Pahang where standing at an average elevation of 1,740 meters within the Titiwangsa range bordering between Pahang and Selangor.

The journey from Kuala Lumpur will take approximately one hour by the road and accessible by bus from several station including KL Central, Titiwangsa, Gombak or Pudu Raya that will stop at the Awana Skyway station.

Genting Skyway has started the operation since 1997. This cable car has 3.38 Kilometers length. It's recognizable as the 'Fastest Mono Cable Car System' in the world with the highest speed capability of 21.6 kilometers per hour. Plus, it's the 'Longest Cable Car' as well in Southeast Asia.

By taking through the cable car all the way up definitely a fascinating way to enjoy the panorama of greenery mother nature surrounded by fresh air from the forest. The weather can be as chilly as 16 °C and increase to 25 °C.

Highlands Hotel or familiarly called as Theme Park Hotel was the first hotel in Genting Highlands that opened in 1971. This resort continued to expanding since the opening of its first hotel.

This resort have upgraded as the destination for 'Fun at The Peak' and 'The City of Entertainment'. In fact, this is the only legal land based casino in Malaysia that owned by Genting Malaysia Berhad.
